Urgent and primary care company American Family Care has expanded and opened four new clinics in Georgia and Tennessee, including a Chattanooga clinic.
“We’re excited to expand our reach to give the residents of Georgia and Tennessee the best health care possible in a kind and caring environment,” Dr. Bruce Irwin, founder and CEO of AFC, said.
With the addition of the four new clinics, the company now operates 48 clinics in Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama.
“Our growth is critical because as our nation’s health care model continues to evolve, the number of insured patients without a primary care physician will increase,” Irwin said. “People want the best-quality health care at the best-possible price, and we can now treat them right in their own backyards.”
The recent expansion comes with the acquisition of Doctors Express, which was formerly the largest national urgent care franchise. Between the two major companies and all affiliated companies, patients can visit any of the 115 facilities in 26 states.
All AFC clinics are equipped and staffed to provide primary and urgent care, minor emergency treatment, and occupational medicine.
Clinics are open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and no appointment is necessary.
