Essential Objectives and Responsibilities include the following:

• The Community Engagement Liaison manages the execution, analysis, planning, control & evaluation of sponsorship requests and TVFCU event efforts. Responsible for building strategic relationships within the community. The ability to think critically, analyze requests through the lens of TVFCUs community goals, vendor relationships, senior staff, and TVFCU Board and business relationships is essential.
• Responsibilities include crafting and managing the community engagement plan, based on the Community budget; quarterly reporting of TVFCUs community involvement in the areas served and an end of year annual report presentation. Must be able to manage the day to day expenses that are involved in community engagement and stay within the budget.
• This role will include implementation of all aspects of the sponsorship fulfillment process from TVFCUs service area. Requests will range from table sponsorships to sponsorship of programs with high-impact, high-visibility. This individual will be responsible for fielding requests, responding in a timely manner, managing expenses, set-up and take-down of TVFCU booth space, manning of events and post follow-up report to the Marketing/Community Outreach Manager. They will coordinate and communicate sponsorship fulfillment logistics with event venues, general services contractors and other vendors. Write, proof and/or edit copy relating to events and proactively communicate information to the rest of the Marketing Team. Strategic thinking, reasoning skills and the ability to make a decision in the best interest of TVFCU is critical.
• Ability to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends is essential.
• Responsible for overseeing the community portion of the marketing budget which includes diversity and inclusion initiatives. This person must be able to represent TVFCU in a professional manner at civic functions, chamber meetings, TVFCU marketing events and community involvement activities, creating a favorable impression and new opportunities for TVFCU. An outgoing personality and experience in the area of community engagement is essential. Conversational Spanish is a plus.
• In addition to external events, this person will be responsible for some of TVFCUs largest internal events such as the TVFCU Golf Tournament benefitting education, the Youth Art Gallery, the Angel Tree program in the TVFCU branches, grand openings, etc. They will also assist with the annual meeting and Used Car Nights at the Lookouts.
  The Community Engagement Liaison will need the aptitude to maintain Kadince, a community/events tracking software. Keeping the events calendar updated will be critical. In addition, this person will work with marketing teammates to obtain graphics, place ads and create digital posts as needed.
• This role requires excellent written skills as writing press releases, blogs, website content and social media posts goes along with fulfilling sponsorship requests.
• This person will also work closely with the media in TVFCUs service area. Therefore, it is critical that they are confident and have a professional on-air presence. They may be called upon to do live and taped on-air TV segments. They may also be asked to do radio spots or create and appear in TVFCU videos.
• The Community Engagement Liaison will contribute to marketing team planning meetings and assist with marketing team projects as needed. This person may be required to perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Marketing/Community Outreach Manager.
• Crucial to this role is the ability to maintain TVFCU member confidentiality and follow compliance regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or Event Production from a four-year institution or pursuing a degree with a minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a marketing or event coordination role, tradeshow planning and/or association/non-profit community management.
• Working knowledge of graphic design principles, retail merchandising and online marketing process/implementation a plus.
• Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with Kadince, G Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, and Drive), WordPress and Adobe products a plus.
• Market research experience
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Conversational Spanish is a plus.
• Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project and leadership skills to include written event plan, department communication, scheduling, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close.
• Demonstrated abilities to develop and maintain effective, positive working relationships within and outside of TVFCU.
• Exceptional organizational abilities, including the ability to coordinate a number of activities in a fast-paced and challenging environment with limited supervision.
• Willingness to do manual labor and work alone when setting up and taking down table displays and/or TVFCU backdrop at events.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and new challenges.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills.
• Commitment to improving the processes that you manage.
• Must have a valid drivers license and be insurable under the company’s driving insurance policy to drive a company vehicle to events.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and move up to (50) lbs.
• Ability to work flexible hours to include early mornings, late evenings and weekends, with ability to work a combination of 2-3 nighttime, early morning and or weekend events per week.
• Ability to work outdoor events in all types of weather.
