ViaNova Development Co.’s project to convert King’s Lodge into apartment homes has completed its first phase.

ViaNova purchased the property earlier this year and has been transforming it into an apartment complex. The View at Mission Ridge, located at 2475 15th Ave., is now leasing one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments with views of the city and surrounding areas.

“We’re all about the view, and every single apartment features a mesmerizing view of downtown, Lookout Mountain and Signal Mountain,” ViaNova Development property manager Heather Everett said in a prepared statement. “It’s beautiful all day long, but it’s absolutely breathtaking at sunset.”

The apartments were completely rebuilt, and each one now offers vinyl wood floors, stainless-steel appliances, walk-in closets and private patios or decks. The apartments are also equipped with high-speed internet and smart laundry facilities.

Rent for the 625-square-foot, one-bedroom apartments ranges from $800 to $850. All the units have the same furnishings, but the price is dependent on what kind of view the unit has, Everett said.

Rent includes water and other monthly services, and pets are allowed for an extra fee.

“The rent is affordable for young professionals and for students, and it’s close to major employers and schools without being right in the middle of the traffic,” Everett said. ”We are looking at completing 138 apartment units, the pool, clubhouse and fitness center within the next year.”
