After nearly a year of construction, a new 120-unit, resort-style apartment complex will soon open on East Brainerd Road.
Forest Cove Apartments aims to cater to the Chattanooga business and artistic community, whose growth and success caught the attention of Housing Trust Group CEO Matthew Rieger.
“Chattanooga has become a magnet for big employers, entrepreneurs and creative people,” he said. “By combining greenery and park space with modern design and technology, Forest Cove is a retreat in a natural environment and a place to inspire creativity for the technologically savvy who wish to be productive at home, particularly in Chattanooga’s new entrepreneurial culture.”
Rieger’s company first purchased a large amount of land in the city in 2004, planning for a multiphase development. The first parcel of land was sold in 2007, and Housing Trust then began working on Forest Cove, which cost an estimated $12.5 million to construct.
“We are encouraged by the growth in Chattanooga these past 10 years and are continuing to pursue opportunities in the market,” he said.
Forest Cove will feature one and two bedroom apartments, and a variety of amenities including a salt-water swimming pool and heated Jacuzzi, 24-hour fitness center and yoga studio, lush landscape park and playground, dog park and more.
Those who are intersted in pre-leasing before the apartment complex’s completion will receive introductory pricing and reduced deposit rates.
The complex is pet friendly with some breed restrictions, however, a $250 deposit fee and $15 per month pet rent is required.
