Friendly competition, anyone?
With the NCAA Menâs and Womenâs Basketball Tournaments just around the corner, weâre joining the fun of bracket competitions with a face-offof our own. Not a sports fan? No worries. Our bracket will focus on a hot topic among locals. Last year, yâall helped us name the best local hike: Lula Lake. Now, we need your help to decide Chattanoogaâs best brewery.
In order to get our initial lineup of eight contestants, we want to know your favorite brewery around town (or in the surrounding area). Take the survey below + stay tuned to learn how to participate in the tournament.

Mayor Tim Kellyâs administration has kicked off its accelerated One Chattanooga Affordable Housing Action Plan. To aid the development of the plan, a 30-person working group has been created to meet over the course of the next seven months. Read more about the plan.

Sports
Chattanoogaâs womenâs basketball team took home the 2023 Southern Conference Womenâs Basketball Championship title after defeating No. 1 seat Wofford, 63-53. The win will result in the team heading to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2017. Congrats, Mocs. đ (Local 3)

Chattanooga Presents!, in partnership with SoundCorps, is using this âband developmentâ initiative to prepare acts for the big stage. Preliminary auditions are April 6-8 + 13-14 at 8 p.m. at The Granfalloon, (400 E. Main St.).
One winner from each night will advance to the finals on May 6, where they will then compete for a paid90-minute headlining spot at Nightfall â the freeconcert series on Friday nights from May 26 through Sept. 1 in Miller Park+Miller Plaza.
Pro tip: While there is a $25 registration fee upon acceptance of applications, bands can inquire about scholarships via email.
