Hello Monday.

January 24 2022

Let’s take the mural high ground

Chattanooga is home to many beautiful murals that tell the story of the Scenic City in an artistic, visual way. A new year gives us the chance to explore some of our favorite works of art that are just waiting to be admired.

Photos can’t always do these pieces justice, so we recommend getting out to see these beauties in person. Check out this map, you can consider this your handy dandy key to mural locations from all over the city.

🎨 The Soul of MLK Murals | E. 10th Street + Foster Street

In a project headed by EPB, nine artists each completed their own panel in this mural that goes along E. 10th Street on the EPB substation wall.

The theme of the murals is, “The Soul of MLK,”  and each of the artists was tasked to visualize the heartbeat of MLK in arts, music, and culture.

THE WRAP

Editor’s Pick: Looks like we’re in for a chilly weekend, Nooga. My favorite way to cozy up is with a warm beverage. Last night I stopped by The Rosecomb and had the hot mulled cider. Drink it as is or add rum, bourbon, or Applejack for an extra kick. I opted for bourbon and it was the perfect drink to warm the bones.
