Downtown collaborative workspace Society of Work is launching a new series that will virtually connect locals with business leaders from around the country.
“We are purposely choosing to get insight from some of the best and brightest people outside of Chattanooga on the changing work world so that Chattanoogans are exposed to ideas that may not be typical to their landscape,” Society of Work founder Kelly Fitzgerald said via email.
The series-which is called Future of Work and is the product of a collaboration between Society of Work, The Company Lab and First Tennessee Bank-is a community conversation that allows area professionals to participate in question-and-answer sessions with the speakers. The format might evolve as the series continues.
Shah will share his background and talk about the nontraditional paths he’s taken to success and what lessons he’s learned from “failing,” Fitzgerald also said.
“Hiten is a prolific entrepreneur and startup adviser,” according to the event description. “He helped coin the term ‘growth hacker,’ clarifying the evolving role of marketing, and co-founded Advantage Consulting Services, which was implementing strategies for Fortune 500 companies within five years of its creation.”
The first event is Feb. 11 from 6 to 7 p.m., and there is no cost.
No reservations are needed.
Society of Work is located on the 13th floor of the First Tennessee Building at 701 Market St.
Light snacks, beer and wine will be served.
The second speaker in the series is scheduled to be Nancy Lyons of Clockwork.
