A celebration of the region’s rich handicrafts will feature “the best peaches you’ll ever have” and more this weekend.
The annual Crafted by Southern Hands event returns to Warehouse Row Saturday. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 1 p.m. The afternoon will feature pony rides, live music and local vendors, including gelato from Milk and Honey.
But the highlight of the event is always The Peach Truck. Founded in 2010, The Peach Truck delivers boxes of handpicked freestone Georgia peaches for sampling and sale.
Owners Stephen and Jessica Rose started the truck after discovering a lacking availability of tree-ripened, sun-sweetened Georgia peaches near their Middle Tennessee home. The couple now travels throughout the South in their 1964 Jeep Gladiator, bringing peaches to the masses.
“We don’t take it lightly when we say these are the best peaches you’ll ever have,” Stephen said. “Both our peaches and our company sprouted in Southern soil, giving The Peach Truck a rich connection to Southern cities like Chattanooga … Warehouse Row is a must-stop for us and perfect complement to our fruit’s farm-fresh, Deep South flavor.”
