Chattanooga Pride Week is back after a two-year hiatus. If you’re unfamiliar, Chattanooga Pride Week is a series of festivities brought to you by the city’s longest operating LGBTQ+ organization.
We’re breaking down this year’s lineup of events + the need-to-know details — Spoiler alert: this year is going to be the biggest Chattanooga Pride Week to date.
This year’s festivities will kick off tonight and run through Sun., Oct. 2. Here are some of the events we’re excited for, make sure to check out the full calendarhere.
❤️ Fri., Sept. 23
Kickoff Party | Unknown Caller | 10:30 p.m. | Start Chattanooga Pride Week off right with friends and a drink — this event is 21+.
Youth Kickoff Party | Red Bank Bounce, 2011 Dayton Blvd. | 6-8 p.m. | Bring the kiddos to celebrate at an indoor inflatable park.
🧡 Sat., Sept. 24
Pride Youth Day | Wanderlinger Brewing Co. | 2-5 p.m. | This event will feature guest speakers, a princess meet + greet, drag queen story time, and a family-friendly drag show.
💛 Sun., Sept. 25
Pride of Chattanooga Pageant | Granfalloon | 6 p.m. | Come out to crown the next Miss Pride of Chattanooga.
💚 Wed., Sept. 28
Yoga with Jimmy | The Hunter Museum Terrace | 6-7 p.m. | Come out and relax during a sunset yoga session — this event is for all ages.
💙 Thurs., Sept. 29
Block Party | The Moxy Chattanooga Downtown | 7-10 p.m. | This outdoor celebration is for all ages.
💜 Fri., Sept. 30
Tennessee Valley Pride Ball | The Chattanooga Event Center, 2193 Park Dr. | 7-11 p.m. | Admission is $20 (or purchase at the door for $25), dress up to win up to $500 in prize money — this event is 18+.

Dare to Drag | The Signal | 8:30 p.m. | This drag show, featuring RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 13 Queen Kandy Muse, benefits The Chattanooga Kidney Foundation — tickets can be purchased online.

Pride Festival | Ross’s Landing | 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m. | Join in the all-day celebration, the Pride Parade will be from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
“Daughters of the Moon” | Fri., Sept. 23-Sat., Sept. 24 | 7:30-9:30 p.m. | Barking Legs Theater, 1307 Dodds Ave. | $20+ | This play is noted as “a thrilling survival adventure with strong themes on race, gender, and empowerment.”
Valley Vibes Music & Arts Festival | Fri., Sept. 23-Sun., Sept. 25 | Various times | Cherokee Farms, 2035 Mineral Springs Rd., Lafayette, GA | $40 | This year’s festival has the most diverse lineup to date. 🎵

The Chattanooga Chamber reported that its five-year goal of $1 billion in capital investment was reached + surpassed in three years. Steam Logistics’ investment downtown and the West Star Aviation expansion led the way in capital investment.
Local restaurant Chatter Box Café — which was also recently featured in Paste Magazine’s 15 best places to eat and drink in Chattanooga — now has a new order window. Stop by + grab some southern staples (especially the smoked mac n cheese).
Health
The Hamilton County Health Department is reopening its Travel and Adult Immunizations Clinic to the public. The clinic is located at the 3rd Street health department facility + serves those travelingfrom andmoving to other countries. 💉
Holiday
Sundown on Sunday marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year. People who observe this holiday typically enjoy apples and honey in hopes of having a sweet new year. It runs until the evening of Tues., Sept. 27. Shana Tova! (That’s Hebrew for “Have a good year!“)
Noogan
UTC interior architecture + design major Sarah Woosley recently placed third in a nationwide design competition. Woosley’s design will be featured in KBB Magazine, an official publication of the kitchen and bath business. (University of Tennessee at Chattanooga)

The Chattanooga Zoo’s Asian Lantern Festival is coming up starting Nov. 10 and lasting through Jan. 15, featuring 38+ illuminated lantern displays throughout the zoo. Tickets are on sale now. 🏮

On Thurs., Sept. 29, CCCS of Chattanooga will host a housing fair from 3-6 p.m at its office (5600 Brainerd Rd.). The event is open to everyone to learn more about housing opportunities, financial education, and housing resources. 🏘️
