The City of Chattanooga announced that it is expanding its efforts to address homelessness. The plan released by Mayor Kelly’s office includes CPD adding bike, golf cart, and foot patrols to provide immediate assistance + training being offered to front-line workers, among other efforts. (Local 3)

From Fri., Oct. 28-Sat., Oct. 29, Hamilton County Schools students will present the electric power race cars they designed and built this past semester — then, they’ll race ‘em.
More than 25 EV clubs with students from 9-18 years old will compete in the annual Chattanooga Green Prix, the curriculum of which helps prepare future generations for the electrification of transportation + careers in renewable energy fields.
The free-to-attend event will take place on the Chattanooga Riverfront, with elementary school teams racing on Friday and middle + high school teams racing on Saturday.
Editor’s pick: Anyone else feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of Halloween events? I’m having the hardest time figuring which one(s) to go to. I’m currently eyeing the Gravedigger’s ball, Nightmare on Houston Street, and Halloween skate party, but I’m sure I’ll be adding more to the list. 😅
