Friendly competition, anyone?

With the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments just around the corner, we’re joining the fun of bracket competitions with a face-off of our own.

Last year, y’all helped us name the best local hike: Lula Lake. This year, we asked you to share your favorite local brewery in Chattanooga. Now — thanks to you — we have the official lineup for our bracket.

How it works

Beginning today, we will host several voting rounds within our newsletters and social channels to determine Chattanooga’s best brewery. Who moves on is up to you. Vote for your favorites, and the brewery with more votes moves on. Simple as that. We’ll go until we have a champion, which will be announced in our Friday, March 31 newsletter. You will be able to vote once per round.

How to participate

Vote for the brewery you’d like to see advance to round two using our poll. You can vote for all four spots or as little as one. Once we count all the votes, we’ll share an updated bracket and new poll in an upcoming newsletter.

A new TV show all about real estate in the Scenic City will film this week. “The American Dream, Selling Chattanooga,” a 30-minute, commercial-free show hosted by Chattanooga realtor Kim Doremus, will air locally on cable (channel announcement to come soon). The rescheduled Little Soddy Creek Cleanup event will be held on Saturday, March 18 at 11 a.m. Participants will meet at Soddy Elementary (260 School St.) + need to bring a water bottle and sturdy footwear. Sign up and fill out the waiver. 🚯

Ready to find your lucky charm? McKamey Animal Center will host its “Not So Little Leprechauns” adoption event from Friday, March 17-Sunday, March 19. During this event, all dogs weighing 17 pounds or more will have their adoption fees waived. 🐾

Local radio station Hits96 is also joining in on the bracket fun. The Chattanooga Madness contest features 16 local businesses + voting will take place each weekday afternoon between 2-6 p.m. on the station’s Facebook page.
