Our local food scene is as vibrant as ever, so it’s no surprise there are a slew of local chefs serving up fresh, vegan + vegetarian bites across town. From vegetarian barbecue to scrumptious vegan tacos, here are 20+ restaurants serving up meat-free fare in the Scenic City.

The UT Board of Trustees recently approved UTC’s 2023-24 fiscal year budget. The new budget will see a 3% tuition increase + a minimum wage increase for its regular staff positions. Community
The Chattanooga Community Development Department will host its Westside Back to the Community event on Saturday, July 29 at the Westside Community Center located at 1201 Poplar St. Folks can enjoy free food, meet the staff, and learn more about its programming.
Theater
The Chattanooga Theatre Centre will hold auditions for its production of “Peter Pan” on Monday, July 10-Tuesday, July 11. All auditions will be by appointment based on age. Those under the age of 18 will go on at 4:30 p.m. + the adults’ session will begin at 7:30 p.m.
