Luxury treehouse lodging now open at Ruby Falls

Last December, we shared Ruby Falls + Treetop Hideaways’ plans to open a luxury treehouse lodging location on Lookout Mountain. Now for an exciting update, the treehouses are officially open and ready to welcome guests.

Folks can choose from three rustic + refined treehouses — Dogwood, Wood Lily, and Redbud. Each treehouse was constructed with “carefully curated reclaimed materials” to mimic the feel of a childhood tree fort while offering the amenities you would find in a luxurious hotel.

Each treehouse can accommodate 2-5 guests and includes breathtaking views of the Tennessee Valley. You can cozy up inside, sit on the wraparound decks, or at the fully stocked fire pits (complete with s’mores kits).

Bonus: The treehouses also include local touches like granola bars from Noke’s Granola, coffee from Goodman Coffee Roasters + custom soaps from Good Fortune Soap and Spa.

Editors Haley + Kristen were recently able to tour the treehouses, here are a few of the amenities we loved about each one.

  • Has a 1900s phonograph record player (which was spinning tunes from Dolly Parton when we visited).
  • Has a Ruby Falls mural painted on the side of the treehouse.

Fall in love with the city even more with our Ultimate City Guide. | Graphic by 6AM City
We all know that Chattanooga is a special place with a never-ending supply of things to do, see, and experience. That got us thinking — we already spend our days helping you get the most out of our city. So what if we curated a collection of guides that will be updated and available anytime to help you navigate all our great city has to offer?

That’s just what we’ve done. Say hello to NOOGAtoday’s City Guide, your ultimate digital destination for the best ways to get out there and learn about the city you love.

We’ve broken the guides into three categories:
  • LIVE — Schools, neighborhoods, and unwritten rules of the city
  • WORK — Top industries, startups, and great spots to work outside
  • PLAY — Parks, festivals, hikes, and date nights
That just scratches the surface. We’ve got guides to local Airbnb and Vrbo rentals, navigating the airport, volunteer opportunities around town, and even where you and your pooch can grab a drink together.

Ready to get to know your city even better? Check out the link below. And if there’s a guide you’d love to see, send us a suggestion because this list of guides will just keep growing.

Oh, and one more thing. For all you marketing folks out there, we have one exclusive sponsorship available. We will feature your brand next to everywhere the guides appear in the newsletter, website, and social media. It’s an opportunity that won’t last long, so drop us a line.

What’s your Chattanooga happy place?

Asked: Where’s your Chattanooga happy place?

The U-Pick Flower Garden at Signal Mountain Nursery is one of our favorite seasonal spots. | Photo by NOOGAtoday
We’re wanting to spread a little joy, Nooga. Which had us thinking, where is your Chattanooga happy place? Think of a place you go in town that warms the heart, allows you to feel calm, or somewhere that brings back fond memories.

We’ll start off.

Editor Kristen here. For me, the U-Pick Flower Garden at Signal Mountain Nursery is one of my local happy places. It’s a seasonal spot where you get to walk through the flower garden and pick whichever flower is speaking to you to take home. It’s a therapeutic experience where you’re surrounded by beautiful flowers and butterflies — it’s just as wholesome as it gets for me. Plus, the gardens just opened up for the season.

Editor Haley here. One of my go-to happy places would have to be the aisles of Dirty Jane’s Antiques. Whether you’re there with an idea in mind on what you want to find, or aimlessly walking around, it’s hard not to get lost in the eclectic secondhand belongings — bonus if it’s raining. There is just something so comforting about being surrounded by well-loved items.
