Savor September

Not a fan of the rain?Good news. Historically, September is the month with the least amount of rainfall in the Scenic City.
Cool down in October
Get your cameras ready, October is a picturesque month in Chattanooga when the autumn colors really start to pop. We were even ranked as one of the top spots in the US to see fall colors.
The average high temperature drops to 70.2°, and generally, the average low temperature is 49.3°. October also tends to be one of the least humid months of the year — we’re already sighing with relief.
November’s numbers
Historically, temperatures in November fluctuate between 40.1° + 57.6°. It’s also usually the first month past summer to see any snowfall — but with a greater chance of high temps this year, that might not happen. 🌙 2023 Moon River Festival recap
2023 Moon River Festival recap
We had a blast at this year’s festival and can’t wait for next year’s to roll around. | Photo by NOOGAtoday
Well, folks, that’s a wrap on Moon River. We’re reflecting on some of our favorite moments from this year’s festival + some things to keep in mind for next year.
Favorite food or drink | We loved getting able to try out some of Sleepyhead Coffee’s Moon River-themed mocktails. The Mock Moon River Margs were so refreshing to sip on a hot day.
Favorite set | Editor Kristen loved Houndmouth’s set — especially when the crowd all came together to sing and dance to “Sedona.” Editor Haley finally got to fulfill her dream of seeing Hozier, and yes, he definitely took us to church.
Pro tips for next year | Editor Haley suggests packing a rain poncho just in case the rain decides to make another appearance next year. In case of a weather evacuation (luckily this year’s was just a short one), Editor Kristen suggests bringing something to pass the time — she saw someone playing a round of Phase 10 and thought that was a pretty great idea.
I can’t believe another Moon River weekend has come and gone. I’ll be reminiscing and listening to this festival playlist until next year’s announcements are made.
