A proposal to fund the installation of lights at The Howard School’s baseball + softball complexes has been approved by Hamilton County commissioners. As part of Mayor Weston Wamp’s $10 million in investments toward the school, the new lights are set to be installed before the spring season begins.

The City of Red Bank + the Chattanooga Public Library (CPL) has launched a new pilot program allowing Red Bank residents to apply for a full-access CPL card at no cost. Eligible residents can now apply for one of 100 CPL cards at Red Bank City Hall — with hopes of more cards coming soon. (Chattanoogan.com)

Next time you’re at the Chattanooga Airport, check out the new exhibit at the CHA ART SPACE. “Summer,” curated by local artist Carrie Pendergrass, features the work of 18 local and regional artists + will be available to view now through November.
Cause
United Way of Greater Chattanooga recently launched its Youth United leadership + volunteer program for high school students. The program aims to foster leadership and build connections through mentorship, service projects, and opportunities to meet students from different schools.

In case you missed it, Preserve Chattanooga has teamed up with the Chattanooga Tourism Co. to launch a new series of self-guided architectural walking tours. Folks will explore areas like the Downtown Historic District, Southside, Stone Fort, and more.
