Did your neighborhood make our list? | Photo by @ever_eady
Happy Halloween, Chattanooga. When it comes to living in the Scenic City, there’s loads to love. Some might even say that life here is pretty sweet.
Using The Takeout’s list of the most popular Halloween candies in the US, we’ve matched the top five choices with one of Chattanooga’s neighborhoods. Get ready for a sugar rush.
M&M’s: Missionary Ridge
With M&M’s coming in as the most popular candy in the US, it’s only fitting that it be matched with Chattanooga’s most populated neighborhood, Missionary Ridge.
Reese’s Cups: St. Elmo
H.B. Reese created the iconic Reese’s peanut butter cup in 1928, making it the oldest candy on this list. This makes it the perfect fit for St. Elmo, considering the area’s rich history.
Sour Patch Kids: NorthShore
Having quiet neighborhood streets and bustling riverfront fun + shopping, NorthShore has the best of both worlds, just like the sour but sweet Sour Patch Kids.
Skittles: Downtown
If there’s any spot in Chattanooga where you can really taste the rainbow, it has to be Downtown. From its iconic murals on MLK Boulevard to eclectic shops in West Village, there’s a little something from every flavor.
Starburst: Southside
Starbursts are known for their burst of flavors which pairs well with this neighborhood’s local restaurants, parks, breweries, and arts scene.
