As we inch closer to fall and even cooler temperatures, you’re more likely to catch one of these misty marvels. Cloud inversions aren’t unique to Chattanooga, but our combination of being next to the Tennessee River — which creates an abundance of moisture that can turn to mist — and having various accessible overlooks like Snooper’s Rock make it a prime location for viewing the weather phenomenon.

The proposal seen ‘round the world, happened right here in... Chattanooga? Not quite, but this clearly edited post from the City of Chattanooga made us laugh regardless.
While we’re on the subject, we’ll just put this out into the universe again: If Taylor and Travis want to get married in the Scenic City, we’ve got plenty of venues that would love to have them. If they like gardens, they could check out McCoy Farm & Gardens or Gardens in the Gorge. Just saying.

It’s a pretty well-known fact that this is the Chattanooga Lookouts’ last season at AT&T Field. They’ve been playing there for more than 25 years, but next year, they’ll have a new home.
If you’re nostalgic like me, you can take a little piece of AT&T Field with you. The Lookouts are giving away dirt(yes, you read that correctly) to the first 1,000 fans at their final regular season game next Sunday, Sept. 7.
