Meet the city’s new I-Team, a cohort from the public works department featuring three field experts, two technical leads, two administrative leads, and two “wildcard” junior staff members. The goal of the I-Team, or Innovation Team, is to work on continuous improvement by bridging the gap between folks in the field + executives.
Sports
Yesterday, community members and fans joined the Chattanooga Lookouts to transport the historic home plate from AT&T Field to Erlanger Park — Olympic Torch Relay-style. The new stadium will make its public debut on Tuesday, April 14 for Opening Day. (News Channel 9)
Development
In more Erlanger Park news, the downtown zoning panel gave unanimous approval to a local sign maker for sign code exemptions at the stadium. The panel approved a rooftop sign, entryway signs, and a ground-level sign bearing the stadium’s name. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)

Hey Siri, play “The Naked Mole Rap” from “Kim Possible.” The Chattanooga Zoo recently welcomed a new colony of 15 naked mole-rats. Naked mole-rats are territorial, so this new colony will take over the zoo’s exhibit while the current colony moves “behind the scenes.” (Local 3 News)

Tickets to the Hunter Museum’s annual Terrace at Twilight event are on sale now. This year’s event will take place on Friday, April 24 with the theme “Alice in Wonderland.”

Have you heard of the Yellow DOT program?The program provides drivers with car decals and resources to help first responders more easily find a person’s medical information after a crash. Tennesseans who enroll at a local site will receive a decal, folder, and a blank medical information sheet.

Our recommendations: We’ll be starting with a foot-long hot dog from Miss Griffin’s + a deep-fried mini donut from Doughlicious.
Cost:Admission is $5 in advance, but you’ll need to bring extra spending money to actually purchase food and drinks.
What else to expect: Enjoymusic, local and regional artisans, and folks spread out on lawn chairs.
New this year: In its fourth year, the festival will take place over two days vs. one — Saturday, March 21-Sunday, March 22.
