A new beer garden is headed to Chattanooga’s Foundries District, right next to the Lookouts’ new stadium.
Creature Comforts Brewing Company will serve its award-winning beer inside “The Shed,” a historic foundry building adjacent to Erlanger Park. Fans can expect a full lineup of the brewery’s core beers, plus seasonal and limited releases. The beer garden will be open most game days, along with select non-game weekends and special events.
“Fostering human connection is our purpose, and creating welcoming spaces like this, designed for people to come together, is one way we bring that purpose to life,” said co-founder and CEO Adam Beauchamp.
The space is expected to open in April, but an official grand opening hasn’t been announced. Pro tip: Keep an eye on this Instagram page to be the first to know about it.
As for the future? Creature Comforts plans to move into a permanent location along the Riverwalk as the Foundries District continues to grow.
A new park could be coming to East Brainerd after the Chattanooga City Council approved a land purchase off Gray Road. The city is still in the early stages of buying the property, so plans and a timeline are TBD. We’ll keep you posted as details unfold. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)

Tickets are on sale for the Chattanooga Zoo’s Hug a Bunny event Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4. There will be several rabbits to pet throughout the zoo, as well as treats, crafts, and games. Pro tip: Keep your eyes peeled for a hidden golden egg.
Traffic
Montlake Road, between Montlake Circle and Brow Lake Road, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, tomorrow, and Thursday so crews can perform ditch work. Drivers can access Mowbray Mountain using Mowbray Pike and Hotwater Road. (WDEF)
