Ready to enjoy live music by the Tennessee River once again? Riverfront Nights, a free outdoor concert series at Ross’s Landing, will kick off on Saturday, May 23 and run through Saturday, Sept. 5.

Open

There’s a new coffee shop and bakery in St. Elmo — and it’s inside a former fire hall. Wayward Pastry Co. offers coffee, espresso, and lots of delicious-looking pastries. Check it out Tuesday through Sunday between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Coming Soon

A quick update for our pizza lovers: Mr. T’s Pizza & Ice Cream says it’s getting “so close” to opening its new Ooltewah location. Here’s a sneak peek at the progress. If you know anyone looking for a job, it’s also hiring delivery drivers. Apply online.

Traffic

Drivers should expect lane closures on Signal Mountain Road near Dayton Boulevard tomorrow between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Crews will be clearing debris out of catch basins in the eastbound lanes (heading away from the mountain) of Signal Mountain Road. (Local 3 News)

If art classes sound fun, free art classes sound even better. They’re now happening every Monday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and every Thursday, 3-5 p.m. at the Family Justice Center near Eastgate Town Center. No experience or registration is necessary; all materials will be provided. (Local 3 News)

Total Wine & More is planning to open its first Chattanooga store near Hamilton Place Mall. The chain, known for its large selection of adult beverages, will open in the former Party City location at 2220 Hamilton Place Blvd. An official opening date has not been announced. Chattanooga veterans will no longer have to leave the city for cancer care within the VA system. The Point Centre VA Clinic has a new center that specializes in oncology services and infusions. Before this, veterans had to drive to Nashville or Murfreesboro for treatment at VA oncology clinics. (News Channel 9)
