Seeing, tasting, and participating in a different culture without leaving Chattanooga? Yeah, you can do that.

Art 120 + Culture Chatt are bringing the International Market and More series back to the Scenic City. The free, family-friendly events will support up to 20 vendors that reflect Chattanooga’s diverse community.

What is International Market and More?

Several years ago, Art 120 organized the first Día de los Muertos Market for Chattanooga. Before COVID-19 hit, the organization expanded its cultural outreach to provide opportunities for Chattanooga’s refugee + new American populations to sell their art, crafts, and food.

International Market and More is the result, supporting burgeoning entrepreneurs + creating a deeper understanding by sharing delicious food, music, and culture with the greater community.

This will be Art 120’s second season of International Market and More events.

Here’s what to look forward to

The first event in the series will take place this Sat., Oct. 29:

  • Día de los Santos | 11 a.m.-4 p.m. | Patten Parkway | Free+ | Celebrate Día de los Santos with live traditional dance from Xochipilli Danza Folklorico + Capoeira Chattanooga, art activities, and food from Guatemala, Brazil, and South America — bring a photo or item of a loved one you would like to honor.

Two more events will take place this spring at Patten Parkway:

  • One highlighting performances, art, and food from our African and Southeast Asian neighbors
  • One celebrating Chattanooga’s Asian community

In addition to the Patten Parkway series, The International Market and More will participate in a pop-up for Artists’ Sunday on Sun., Nov. 27 and at MAINx24 on Sat., Dec. 3.

Stay tuned to Art 120’s Facebook + Eventbrite pages for updates on upcoming markets.
