Book sale helps support Chattanooga library system

An organization dedicated to supporting Chattanooga public library system will hold a massive book sale next month. Volunteers with Friends of the Chattanooga Public Library will be selling books beginning Sept. 1 through 18 at the Eastgate Mall. The sale is Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sundays Noon to 6 p.m. Book sales are the main source of revenue for the organization. Items include donated and processed library books magazines, encyclopedia sets, DVDs and CDs. Saturday, Sept. 15 is Half-price day with all books discounted. Sunday, Sept. 16 is $5 bag day. Other ongoing honor sales are at the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, Downtown YMCA, and at the Northgate, Eastgate and Downtown library branches. The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport has the largest honor sale known as SkyLib.
