Chattanooga introduces weeklong Spring Break series for local students

These free community events will provide safe spaces for local youth to gather and enjoy their spring break.

The City of Chattanooga recently announced a weeklong Spring Break series of community events for Hamilton County School students. Local organizations have collaborated to include free programming + events for students of all ages to enjoy in a safe space.

The series will kick off on Saturday, April 1, and will run through Saturday, April 8. Here are some event highlights, but make sure to check out the full event schedule.

  • Basketball Tournament | Saturday, April 1-Sunday, April 2 | Teams of six, for ages 13+ — registration required
  • Park Festival | Monday, April 3 | Will feature games, food trucks, music + more
  • Who’s the Best Class Clown | Thursday, April 6 | Participants have one minute to tell the best jokes for cash prizes
  • Egg Hunt | Saturday, April 8 | Will feature carnival games, music, food, zoo animals + more
  • Spring Breakin’ | Saturday, April 8 | Participate in a breakdance competition
