Whether you’ve still got guests in town or you’re looking for a way to walk off those pies, we’ve got a full weekend of things you don’t want to miss as the Scenic City transitions from Thanksgiving to the merry holidays.

Holidays at Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain

This almost month-long celebration will begin on Friday, Nov. 29 where you can see festive decorations and lights in the Village Plaza, meet Santa on select days, and enjoy treats by the fireplace.

Reindeer on the Riverfront & Lighted Boat Parade, Ross’s Landing

Come out to Chattanooga’s seasonal parade on the water on Friday, Nov. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. Folks can see live reindeer, get pictures with Santa + see lighted and decorated boats on the river at 7 p.m. before concluding the night with fireworks.

Holiday Jubilee, The Read House

Head to this downtown historic hotel on Friday, Nov. 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. for an evening of live entertainment and complimentary hot chocolate, cider + cookie stations — the kiddos can even participate in an Elf Workshop for $15. Pro tip: Snag one of the last remaining tickets for Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Holidays Under the Peaks, Tennessee Aquarium

Winter Wonderland but make it underwater. Starting Friday, Nov. 29 through Sunday, Dec. 29, you can enjoy festive touches like a light-bedecked tree twinkling in sync with the jolts of an electric eel, Scuba Claus dives + showings of “The Polar Express 3D” in IMAX.

Christmas in Collegedale, The Commons

On Sunday, Dec. 1 from 3 to 7 p.m., you can enjoy live music, food trucks, a cookie contest, the Chattanooga Elf, and see the City of Collegedale light its tree at 6:30 p.m. Bonus: Bring donations for the canned food and hat + scarf drives.

Soddy-Daisy Christmas Parade, Dayton Pike

Line up along the block for this parade that will kick off at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, featuring floats, marching bands, dancers, decorated vehicles, and a special appearance by Santa. Bonus: Donations will be accepted for Christmas for Kids.
