Guitar virtuoso Leo Kottke to visit Songbirds

Avant-garde guitarist Leo Kottke inspired a generation of acoustic performers with his 1969 album “6 and 12-String Guitar.” Kottke will perform in Chattanooga at Songbirds Guitar Museum on Sept. 12. at 7 p.m. Tickets for the intimate performance are $45. Only a limited number of tickets are available. Kottke has been awarded two Grammy nominations; a Doctorate in Music Performance by the Peck School of Music at the University of Wisconsin — Milwaukee; and a Certificate of Significant Achievement in Not Playing the Trombone from the University of Texas at Brownsville with Texas Southmost College.
