It happens every year. You’ve barely recovered from Christmas-type celebrations. Keeping up with the days of the week has gotten challenging + before you know it — bam — it’s New Year’s Eve.

And, depending on who you ask, NYE is either the best holiday of the year or the most overrated.

In our Instagram poll, 73% of you said you’re staying in this year. But if you’re in that 27% who want a night on the town to party until you’re covered in glitter that won’t go away before 2022, we’ve got some suggestions.

First, check this round-up from the Chattanooga Convention and Visitors Bureau.

If those don’t make your inner party animal perk up, we’ve picked a few more December 31 events that sound too cool to miss.

🎉 Chattanooga’s New Year’s Eve Celebration at The Signal | 10 p.m.-2:30 a.m. | The Signal, 1810 Chestnut St. | $25 | Check out this video for a taste of what to expect.

🎉 Future Wonderland - New Year’s Eve Party 2020 | 8 p.m.-1 a.m. | The Dwell Hotel, 120 E. 10th St. | $75-$100 | Come party futuristic-style. The retro-Dwell will be turned into a spacey dance Wonderland. Tickets include two drinks, music + hors d’oeuvres.

🎉 NYE Bitter Banger | 8 p.m.-1 a.m. | The Bitter Alibi, 825 Houston St. | Free | The owners of Bitter are known for their cool, quirky ways and we’re sure anything they have going on will be worthwhile. They are partying in the street this year (unless it snows) so bundle up and come ready to make this year different.

🎉 NYE 2020 // New Year Extravaganza | 5 p.m.-3 a.m. | London Calling, 715 Cherry St. | Free | There will be sparkling wine deals all night, belly dancers, a DJ and confetti drop. No tickets, so get there early if you don’t want to be disappointed.

🎉 Roaring ‘20s New Year’s Eve to benefit Chattanooga Autism Center | 9 p.m.-12 a.m. | The Granfalloon, 400 E. Main St. | $40/individual, $75/couple | Come dressed in your best 1920s attire, and enjoy music, dancing, drinks, hors d’oeuvres + a complimentary sparkling wine toast. The event is open to the public and the money you spend is going to a good cause.

If you’re going out on the town, be safe, drink responsibly + tag us in your pictures.
