On Veterans Day, the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, Wood Recycle Center, Refuse Collection Centers, and Recycle Collection Centers will be closed + resume regular hours on Saturday, Nov. 12. The City Landfill off Birchwood Pike will be closed and will reopen on Monday, Nov. 14.
The City of Chattanooga announced that it is increasing pay for its wastewater division. The increase will raise all salaries to a minimum of $40,000 annually, and the city will host a job fair to help fill more than 75 vacancies for the utility on Tuesday, Nov. 15. (NewsChannel 9)

Unity Group of Chattanoogaâs 53rd annual MLK Parade and Marchwill take place on Jan. 16, 2023. The lineup will begin at Miller Park at 1 p.m., with the main program to follow at Olivet Baptist Church at 3 p.m. đ

The Signalâs getting a new home
The Signal venue expanding to new location
The new location will allow for concerts and other events to be held simultaneously. | Renderings provided by The Signal
The Signal, a local live music venue + event space, announced it will move to the former Chattanooga Choo Choo Convention Center location at 21 Choo Choo Ave.
Renovations will be made to the former convention center to turn it into a 20,000-sqft âstate-of-the-art concert and event facility,â which will include a concert hall + event space that can be utilized simultaneously or in conjunction for large-scale events.
All current shows on the venueâs website will take place at its current Chestnut Street location (the last performance will be by Mitchell Tenpenny on Feb. 18) + The Signal will begin hosting events in the new location in April 2023.
