160 years later
Commemorating the 160th Anniversary of the Battles for Chattanooga

In honor of the 160th anniversary of the Battles for Chattanooga, the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will offer a series of programs for folks to enjoy and learn more about the history of the battles and the area.
Check out the full schedule of events online. You can expect plenty of walking + driving tours through key areas of the battles, led by local historians. Note: There is a $10 per person entrance fee to Point Park (for those ages 16 and older), programs occurring in other areas are free to attend.
Bonus: Participants are encouraged to stop by the Lookout Mountain Battlefield Center on Saturday, Nov. 18 or Sunday, Nov. 19 to pick up a Junior Ranger booklet. You can bring back the completed booklet to receive a special Junior Ranger medal.
Additionally, if you participate in the artillery programs inside Point Park, ask for a Junior Ranger living history interview sheet to complete to receive a commemorative patch.
