What time is it? Almost summertime, which means the kiddos will get out of school and need some fun things to do out in the Scenic City. That’s why we’ve got a guide to local summer camps for all ages.

🌳 Taking a walk on the wild side

Junior Explorer Camp, Audubon Acres | Ages 5-11 | $175-$225
  • Spend the summer in the woods learning outdoor skills, meeting local wildlife, and splashing in the creek.

Real Estate
  • Norfolk Southern has purchased 365 tracts of property across Hamilton County for more than $453 million — the largest real estate purchase in Hamilton County’s history. The property sale is part of the $1.62 billion purchase of Cincinnati Southern Railway, which includes 337 miles of track from Cincinnati to Chattanooga. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
Cause
  • The Chattanooga Zoo is one of 12 facilities to receive a Party for the Planet grant from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The zoo received $5,000 for its partnership with Reflection Riding to fund a three-part volunteer service project focused on “practical environmental actions.”
Biz
  • Local real estate development group Urban Story Ventures recently won three 2024 CoStar Impact Awards for its developments in Chattanooga. The group was chosen for the Redevelopment, Multifamily, and Lease of the Year awards by a panel of more than 660 industry professionals.
Concert
  • After five nights of close competition, the five bands have been announced for the Road to Nightfall finals held on Saturday, April 6 at The Granfalloon. Folks can grab tickets to the event, cheer on their favorite band, and see who will win the headlining spot at Nightfall on Friday, June 28.
Pets
  • The Central Church of Christ will host a rabies vaccination event on Saturday, April 6 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 400 Vine St. Folks can bring their pets for free vaccinations, nail trimming + bandanas and toys while supplies last. Bonus: The Street Quesadilla food truck will also be on-site.

  • Members of the community can receive free vehicle inspections on Sunday, April 14 thanks to Southern Adventist University’s automotive program. Scenic City Neurotherapy recently launched a 31-day “Spring Clean Your Life” challenge, and we’re here to provide some pro tips on tackling Week 3.

Starting today, April 1 through Sunday, April 7, folks will be encouraged to focus on their mental wellness to enhance mental clarity. Think: Tasks like brain dumping, decluttering, and disconnecting from negative influences.
