The Hamilton County Commission approved the expansion of Hilltop Drive near Miller Industries during its meeting Wednesday, Aug. 6. The project, between Hunter Road and Volkswagen Drive, aims to ease traffic congestion at Exit 11 and Old Georgetown Road. (News Channel 9)

Several Alton Park streets will receive honorary names recognizing local legends Milton L. Jackson Sr., Florence High, and Erma R. Choice. The Chattanooga City Council approved the signage to celebrate their lasting impact on the community. A neighborhood celebration is planned once all signs are installed. Development
Construction crews are making progress on a new 12,000 sqft event venue in East Ridge. City officials say Venue 1921 is on track to be finished by the end of 2025. A grand opening celebration is planned for early 2026. (Local 3 News)
