The Blue Hole is great, but so are several other swimming holes in our area. | Photo by Ryan Maum provided by Chattanooga Tourism Co.
In case you missed it, the popular Blue Hole is closed for improvements and won’t reopen for about a year. Lucky for us, there are several other swimming holes to help you beat the heat this summer. Big Soddy Creek Gulf | 11721 Back Valley Rd. | Take a trip along a five-mile out-and-back hiking trail, with multiple stopping points where you can take a dip.
Suck Creek | Suck Creek Road | With several access points around Signal Mountain, this spot offers a great area for hiking and swimming.
Chester Frost Park | 2277 Gold Point Cir. N. | Enjoy a day at the “beach” without having to drive farther than Hixson.
Rainbow Lake | 304 Ohio Ave. | If you don’t mind a steep hike down and back up, you can enjoy this swimming hole near a dam and waterfall.
Nickajack Lake | Near TVA Road | Grab your paddles or fishing gear for a day out on the lake.
A quick round of routine visits — like dental cleanings or a primary care check-up — can help you feel your best for all those warm-weather plans.
