Each week, the Photo of the Day will feature a photo from the Chattanooga Public Library and The Chattanooga Memory Project. This photo was taken Oct. 13, 1949. It features construction on the War Memorial on Patten Parkway. The Chattanooga Memory Project was created by the Chattanooga Public Library to capture the city’s history from the perspective of individuals, including current and former residents and visitors to the Scenic City.
