Miller Park

Authored By Staff Report

A day following the grand reopening of Chattanooga’s Miller Park, locals have a chance to voice their input on the future of public art in the city. CHA Creates: A Public Art Vision will “creatively shape a public art framework and identify specific sites, areas of focus and project themes for the next ten years.” Officials will host a public input session on Saturday, Sept. 15 at the park. The event will feature Public Art Chattanooga, Mayor Andy Berke and PAC consultants Gail Goldman and Barbara Goldstein. From 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., leaders will facilitate creative conversations over coffee. The event is a family-friendly session offering kids the chance to play in Miller Park with Art 120’s Imagination Playground and the “big blue blocks.” Clumpies Ice Cream will be serving free scoops of ice cream in exchange for completed surveys.
