Soccer season is back in Nooga.
The Chattanooga Red Wolves return to the pitch on Saturday, April 20, for their first home game of the season, and we’ve got the deets on what’s new. Think: Stadium upgrades, roster moves + a huge lineup of exciting events.
⚽ It’s a grass game, now
For the first time ever, the CHI Memorial Stadium will feature a natural grass pitch.
The stadium is already designed to closely resemble European soccer stadiums, situating fans just feet from the action — and the grass update further mirrors the conditions played in the Premier League and around the world.
🎆 Festivities every night
This season is positively jam-packed with celebrations, events, and themed games, including:
- $2 Beer Night on opening night + select nights
- 80s Night | April 27
- Margarita Madness + Tacos & Tequila | May 11
- Post-match fireworks | Select Nights
- Marvel Heroes Night | June 8
- World Record Night | June 22
- Rusty’s Birthday Bash | September 7
- And even more
🏆 Revamped roster
The 2019 Gatorade National Player of the Year + Dalton native Omar Hernandez signed his first professional contract with the Red Wolves this season.
The talented young player is joined by, among others, Ricky Ruiz, who returns to Chattanooga after two years in the USL Championship. Longtime fans may remember Ruiz from his record-setting season with the Red Wolves in 2021 when he became the first and only player in club history to lead the league in assists.
🍻 Familiar favorites return
There’s a whole lot of new to get excited about, but some of our favorite parts of the Red Wolves experience haven’t gone anywhere.
The stadium still features the largest Jumbotron screen in the region, alongside a custom-designed supporter section that really brings the energy.
And don’t forget about the two-story outdoor Howl Bar + its live music venue, the Outlaw Stage.
Psst... if you’re looking to take your experience to the next level, the executive club features an enormous bar + lounge overlooking the pitch.
