Fast internet isn’t the only reason we’re called Gig City — whether you’re here for the bluest blues, the smoothest jazz, or the deepest beats, there’s a place in Chatt for you.

How do we do it, you ask? Well, it’s not just our established artists that get the spotlight. These programs open the door for new talent to make their mark.

🕊️ Songbirds Foundation

Songbirds is focused on making sure everybody has access to the transformative power of music. The organization:

  • Teaches the guitar’s history through immersive exhibits + hands-on play.
  • Offers free guitars + lessons through its Guitars for Kids program, as well as cognitive music therapy.
  • Opens its venue for shows — including tonight’s Robert Jon and the Wreck (roots rock + blues), Jason D. Williams (rockabilly piano), and the Songbirds Rising series (new artists)
💽 Dynamo Studios

Dynamo is a catalyst for musicians + students to begin professional careers in creative fields. Dynamo Studios:

🔊 The Noise Closet

The Chattanooga Public Library provides opportunities for teenagers to check out instruments — and even record. The Noise Closet:

🎟️ The Tivoli Foundation

The Tivoli Foundation was made to support Chattanooga’s historic performing centers: The Tivoli Theater, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium, and Walker Theater. The foundation:

  • Funds the recovery of our largest venues + the return of live performance.
  • Supports performers through events like the Annual Gala, set for Jan. 7, 2022.

Peep our Plan Ahead calendar for the ways and wheres that you can support local live music. (Like the FIRESIDE + Noontunes series, hint hint.)
