TopGolf Chattanooga: Is this really happening?

Word on the interwebs is that East Ridge might have landed another big amenity: TopGolf.

We reached out to the corporation for confirmation + a Topgolf spokeswoman said the company is looking into expanding into Tennessee but didn’t have more information to share.

But project documents show that Chattanooga’s ASA Engineering & Consulting is on the job.

And dirt is definitely moving on the 16.3-acre site where the new business is rumored to be located, near Bass Pro Shop, just off Interstate 75.

The proposed location would be behind Bass Pro Shops on Camp Jordan Parkway in East Ridge.

Construction crews are moving dirt at the proposed Top Golf site.

And here’s the original post from Doc Denton:

Wait, what is TopGolf?

Think sports bar, meets driving range, meets Dave and Busters.

Basically, it’s a multi-story interactive driving range where friends and golfers of all skill levels can compete against each other by trying to land golf balls on various greens throughout the fairway.

We hear it’s high-tech?

TopGolf is the epitome of golf-tech; and no, we’re not talking about the performance polo’s for sale in the gift shop.

Each ball that is fed to you (via a wave of the golf club) is microchipped so that you can track exactly where it landed, how far it went and how well you’re hitting compared to the rest of your group.

Here’s a guide to scoring and pre-programmed games. Bonus: You can bring your own golf clubs, or use TopGolf’s for free.

What about food + drink?

And what makes any sport better? Food + drinks. Yep. TopGolf has all that too.

From chicken + waffles for brunch to mixed drinks + mocktails, if Nashville’s TopGolf menu is any indication, finding something you like won’t be tough.

What’ll it cost me?

TopGolf pricing varies per location, but typically falls between $25-35 per hour, per bay (not per person) + your one-time $5 membership fee. Up to 6 people can play, and up to 8 people can hang out per bay.

What you’re saying...

We shared this possibility on Facebook and some of you are already pumped.

“I hope it has a concert venue like the one in Nashville.” — Sacha M.

“This would be awesome!” — Dillon N.

Apparently, a selfie at TopGolf is a must?

“Oh goodie... More selfies from Every. Single. Top Golf. Visitor. Ever. in my feed.. cause apparently you’ve never been there unless you share a selfie. 🤦” — Ana M.

And some of you are still holding out for, say, a Trader Joe’s?

“Ok, fine, but I wanna see some good news about getting a new grocery store!! C’mon!!” — Liza M.
