With NOOGA already enveloped in a blanket of oppressive heat, bars + restaurants are mixing up some classic and modern cocktails to keep you cool.

We’ve rounded up five of your favorite local cocktail spots based on your feedback.

📍 The Mad Priest — 719 Cherry St.

“Mad Priest. I love their French 75.” — Alison P.

The classic French 75 is a simple, elegant cocktail with a base of gin, a splash of champagne + lemon juice. Oh la la!

📍 The Whiskey Thief — 102 Walnut St.

“OMG. This drink is TO DIE FOR: ‘I Don’t Carrot All’ from Whiskey Thief. Plus, views.” — Kristin D.

It’s a rabbit’s favorite concoction with tequila, jalapeno, carrots (duh), cilantro, white balsamic, salt + lime. It’ll put hare on your chest. Get it? 🐇

📍 Boathouse Rotisserie and Raw Bar — 1459 Riverside Dr.

“It’s a tie between Boathouse Margarita or Mojito.” — Gina C.

The Lawton’s margarita is billed as “the real Mexico margarita” and contains blue agave el Jimador tequila, orange liqueur and lime juice over a salted-rim glass.

📍 STIR — 1444 Market St. “The Bee’s Knees at STIR...” — Debbie C.

A local favorite, the phrase ‘bee’s knees” originated in the prohibition-era and meant “the best.” This cocktail contains gin, honey liquor + syrup, sugar cane syrup, and fresh-squeezed lemon juice. Yowza.

📍 Hi-Fi Clyde’s — 122 W. Main St.

Cape Cod. So refreshing. The best are served at Clyde’s.” — Denise C.

In addition to traditional cocktails, Hi-Fi Clyde’s is also home to delicious slushies and punches. Both pack a heck of a punch, too. You have been warned.

And a big shout out to Janis C. for our favorite reader response 😂 :

“I am in my 70s, so for me it’s Metamucil and water.” — Janis C.

*Also, remember to drink responsibly + don’t drink and drive.*
