Celebrate Juneteenth with several events during the 6th annual Chattanooga Festival of Black Arts & Ideas from Thursday, June 1-Monday, June 19.
In honor of the “extraordinary contributions of artists of African descent,” the events and activities will take place all around the city with the help of local artists, speakers + workshop leaders, and more.
To kick off the jam-packed two weeks, the RBG Ball Fundraiser + Black Arts Awards will be on Saturday, June 3 at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. This black-tie event will honor local artists in six disciplines — visual arts, dance, music, literary arts, film, and theater.
Folks can enjoy a cocktail hour and gourmet dinner provided by Chef Kenyatta Ashford with their ticket before the awards show.
Note: Only 101 tickets will be sold for the ball, but tickets for the awards can be purchased separately.
