Chattanooga Brewing Co. hosts art show and grand opening of beer garden

Authored By Sean Phipps

The only thing better than drinking a locally made craft beer is enjoying the beverage in a fancy beer garden. Chattanooga Brewing Co. will host a grand opening celebration to debut their new outdoor beer garden on Aug. 24 from 6 to 11 p.m. To celebrate, owners are highlighting the new space with a party featuring live music along with art from Chattanooga’s Justin Butts (known as MuteOn). He will offer pieces for sale as well as live-printed T-shirts throughout the event. View his artwork here. Admission to the party is $15. Tickets can be purchased in advance online. A beer garden (“Biergarten” in German) is “an outdoor area in which beer and local food are served, typically at shared tables.” Live music will be provided by Chilhowee Royal, Formative Years and Psychic Dungeon. A special Hail Saison beer from Chattanooga Brewing Co. will be offered during the event. Guests can also purchase Latin-inspired handhelds — tacos, street corn, tamales and empanadas— for $5 each throughout the night. The $15 ticket includes admission, a raffle ticket and two tokens that can be used for either a beer or a food item. Chattanooga Brewing Co. is a destination brewery on Chattanooga’s Southside. Founded in 2010, the brewery offers a variety of year-round beers including the popular Chickbock Maibock, Chestnut Street Brown Ale, Hill City IPA and Chattanooga Kolsch. The seasonal Hail Saison is a “devilishly delicious American-style Saison with a profile from malted wheat, Pilsen malt and 100 percent Ekuanot hops that give it a fruity aroma.” CBC is located at 1804 Chestnut St. across from Finley Stadium and adjacent to Southside Social and The Signal.
