In response to feedback from Chattanooga’s performing arts community, ArtsBuild has launched a feasibility study to evaluate the need for a Performing Arts Center (PAC).

Community members shared concerns regarding the shortage of dedicated rehearsal, creative incubation, and mid-size, flexible performing spaces.

This study, conducted by Webb Mgmt, will:

  • Assess the needs of local art organizations + audiences
  • Analyze potential programming opportunities
  • Explore the financial sustainability of creating a PAC in the city

President of ArtsBuild James McKissic said that Chattanooga’s performing arts community has been making the most of the resources already available, but a PAC could amplify the voices of local artists + enhance the community.

“We want to create a space that’s not just functional but truly transformative, something that helps us grow and strengthen the cultural fabric of Chattanooga,” said McKissic.

Artists, performing arts organizations, and members of the public are invited to provide input for the PAC study. Share your thoughts via email.
