Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day falls on Monday, Jan. 20 this year — honor his life + legacy on a local scale by volunteering for MLK Day of Service or attending an event.

Volunteer opportunities on MLK Day

City of Chattanooga | Volunteer + be assigned to a project around the city starting at 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park | Helpers will clean around the 73rd Pennsylvania Reservation from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Red Bank | From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., join Green Steps at BeCaffeniated to clean up litter around the area — rescheduled to Saturday, Feb. 8 because of the weather forecast.

55th Annual MLK Week | Starting Monday, Jan. 13 through Monday, Jan. 20, you can participate in The Unity Group of Chattanooga’s celebrations — from presentations to the march + parade downtown.

MLK Day Youth Leadership Symposium | Join the Urban League of Chattanooga on Monday, Jan. 20 for an afternoon full of historical and enrichment activities, games + lively debates.
