River City Co. announces new program for emerging event producers

The Emerging Producers program will help those who want to put on unique + diverse experiences in downtown Chattanooga.

Interested in learning how to host unique + diverse events? River City Co. has recently launched its Emerging Producers Program to support individuals, organizations, and artists with two years or less of event management experience.

The program will run from January through October of next year + will provide resources such as in-depth educational workshops, event shadowing experiences, and mentorship opportunities.

Note: Six candidates will be selected for the program by its advisory committee. During the second half of the program (starting in May), each of the cohort members will lead + execute their own event in downtown Chattanooga — the other cohort members will support in producing the event.

Selected candidates will receive a $2,500 stipend (paid in monthly installments) during the program along with seed funding for the event concepts.

Folks who are interested in applying can do so now through Thursday, Nov. 30 by 5 p.m. Selected candidates will be notified by Tuesday, Dec. 19.
