Take a break, folks — well after you read this first. River City Co. has a new series for the workers of Chattanooga.

Enter: “Take a Break,” a 12-week daily program that encourages residents to pause their workday and step away from the screens. Whether you’re in a downtown office or a close commute away, you can head to Miller Park to enjoy food trucks every Wednesday during your lunch hour — try Bopcha and Chef Chasty Seafood on Wednesday, July 24.

To ensure the most relaxing downtime, the Downtown Chattanooga Alliance will also send out its ambassadors seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Thursday, Aug. 1 to provide:

  • New seating with shade
  • Games like ping pong, cornhole, table-top chess + checkers, and spike ball
  • Extra maintenance and cleaning services

Bonus: Music will also be playing from the main stage.
