We know that summer might not be officially over until late September, but for planning purposes (totally because we’re not extremely ready and excited for fall), we’re here to share some local fall festivals + events we think you should have marked on your calendar.

🍂 September

Rail & Hops Brewers Festival | Sat., Sept. 3 | 5-10 p.m. | Miller Park | $50+ | This curated tasting event focuses on local + regional beers, plus enjoy live music and entertainment — you must be 21+ to attend the event, and discounted tickets for DD’s are also available.

Fall Food Truck Rally | Sun., Sept. 4 | 11 a.m.-4 p.m. | First Horizon Pavilion | Free+ | Experience some great local eats + treats, live music, and Chattanooga Market vendors.

Fall Market | Sat., Sept. 10 | 10 a.m.-5 p.m. | Collegedale Commons, 4950 Swinyar Dr. | Free+ | Shop from 150+ vendors, grab lunch from food trucks, and enjoy a petting zoo and pony rides.

Moon River Festival | Sat., Sept. 10-Sun., Sept. 11 | Various times | Coolidge Park | $120+ | Gather along the banks of the Tennessee River for two days of live music from artists The National, Leon Bridges, Band of Horses, and more.

Annual Fall Plant Sale & Festival | Sat., Sept. 17 | 9 a.m.-3 p.m. | Crabtree Farms | Free+ | Grab your wagon + head to the farm to shop fall plants + enjoy live music, kids activities, and food trucks.

Apple Festival | Sun., Sept. 18 | 11 a.m.-4 p.m. | First Horizon Pavilion | Free+ | Pick up some fresh apples + all things apple flavored from local vendors.

The 3 Sisters Festival of Bluegrass Music | Fri., Sept. 30-Sun., Oct. 1 | Various times | Ross’s Landing | Free | This festival will feature some of the biggest names in Bluegrass music such as Mipso, Béla Fleck, Balsam Range, and more.

🎃 October

Oddtober | Oct. 1-31 | Various times | Tennessee Aquarium | $21.95+ | Guests can celebrate + discover the aquarium’s strangest inhabitants with a self-guided QR code scavenger hunt, plus check out the seasonal decor.

Rocktoberfest | Saturdays + Sundays in October | 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. | Rock City | $17.95+ | Listen to German-inspired live music, enjoy German food + speciality drinks, and more fun for the whole family.

Fall Fling | Sat., Oct. 1 | 10 a.m.-4 p.m. | Mountain Arts Community Center, 809 Kentucky Ave. | Free+ | Shop from MACC’s seasonal art + farmers market.

Wine Over Water | Sat., Oct. 8 | 5-8 p.m. | Walnut Street Bridge | $125 | Celebrate the 27-year anniversary of showcasing 200 wine varieties, food, music, and more — proceeds will benefit Preserve Chattanooga.

Chattanooga Oktoberfest | Sat., Oct. 8- Sun., Oct. 9 | 10 a.m.-8 p.m. + 11 a.m.-5 p.m. | First Horizon Pavilion | Free+ | Come out to this family-friendly Oktoberfest celebration with live music and German-inspired food + drink — German attire is highly recommended.

Chattanooga Motorcar Festival | Fri., Oct. 14-Sun., Oct. 16 | 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. | Various locations | $79+ | This three-day festival will feature a Cocncours d’Elegance, the Canoossa Fall Rally, The Pace Grand Prix, auction events, and more.

Soddy-Daisy Fall Festival & Great Pumpkin Chase 5k | Sat., Oct. 15 | 8 a.m.-3 p.m. | 11651 Dayton Pike (Race) + 197 Durham St. (Festival) | Free+ | The 5k will begin at 8 a.m. + the festival will follow at 10 a.m.

Monster Bash | Sat., Oct. 15 | 6-8 p.m. | Creative Discovery Museum | $10 | This is a kid-friendly Halloween Bash with monster-themed activities and games.

Chattanooga VegFest | Sat., Oct. 15-Sun., Oct. 16 | 12-5 p.m. + 9 a.m.-2 p.m. | Coolidge Park | Free+ | Calling all vegan foodies (or those who just enjoy plant-based eats) — come out to this family-friendly two-day event.

Drink and Discover: Witch’s Brew | Fri., Oct. 21 | 7-10 p.m. | Creative Discovery Museum | $25+ | Adults 21+ can attend this Halloween party complete with ghost stories, a costume contest, and even a broom relay race.

Hooray Fall | Fri., Oct. 21-Sun., Oct. 23 | 10 a.m.-4 p.m. | Mountain Cove Farms Resort, Chickamauga, GA | $5+ | Vintage Market Days of Chattanooga presents this fall event to shop from regional vendors.

Fall Family Fun Fest | Oct. 22 | 11 a.m.-4 p.m. | Miller Park | Free+, RSVP | Celebrate the 25-year anniversary of nonprofit First Things First with live music, food trucks, giveaways, and activities for the family.

Scenic City Wings | Sat., Oct. 23 | 11 a.m.-4 p.m. | First Horizon Pavilion | Free+ | Come out to the market or purchase a ticket to try the best wings from area restaurants + vote for the Scenic City’s Best Wings of 2022.

The Haunted Market | Sun., Oct. 30 | 11 a.m.-4 p.m. | First Horizon Pavilion | Free+ | Dress up in your costumes for the annual Trick or Treat Costume Parade at 1 p.m.

Chattanooga Art Fest | Sat., Nov. 12-Sun., Nov. 13 | 10 a.m.-5 p.m. | Coolidge Park | Free+ | View the work from artists across the Southeast, and enjoy festival cuisine + activities for the family.

Chattanooga Beard Contest | Sun., Nov. 13 | 11 a.m.-4 p.m. | First Horizon Pavilion | Free+ | Calling all No Shave November participants, enter in this contest with categories such as “Most Festive Decorated” + “Longest” beards at the market.
