✨ Street signs, meet star signs

Your horoscope in Chattanooga neighborhoods

Chattanooga
Let the stars align, Chattanooga. | Photo by Tyler Johnston
One of the most lovable things about Chattanooga is the distinct character found in each neighborhood, district, and corner of town. They all have their own personalities and purposes — some would say it was written in the stars. Let’s take a look at how our neighborhoods align with the zodiac signs.

Capricorn: Southside | Dec. 22-Jan. 19

With how hardworking Capricorns are, they’ll be pleased to hear there are plenty of spots in Southside to work remotely, network, and take a break — set up shop at Common House or Niedlov’s, take a walk along Market Street, or pop into the many restaurants along West + East Main Street.

Aquarius: North Chattanooga | Jan. 20-Feb. 18

The unique businesses of this quaint neighborhood embody the eclectic nature of an Aquarius. Try out the drinks at The Rosecomb while reading a book from The Book & Cover, or even walk over to the Queen’s Kitchen and Market to pick up supplies for dinner.

Pisces: Bluff View Art District | Feb. 19-March 20

Where else would we find this creative, artsy water sign other than the neighborhood with an art museum + gardens that provide a quiet place to sit? The historic Bluff View Arts District provides the perfect escapist moment for a Pisces to relax.

Is there a Chattanooga neighborhood that pairs perfectly with one of the zodiacs missing from our list? Tell us about it — bonus points if you can explain why.

The City of Red Bank wants to hear from the community about its outdoors scene by taking the Parks and Recreation Master Plan Public Survey.

Feedback is wanted from all demographics to gather a better look at the community and its residents’ needs. Once complete, the information will go directly to the city’s Parks, Trails, and Recreation Department to help influence, support + shape decisions made over the next decade.

“We’ve already made improvements that have been very well received like our pickleball courts and the White Oak Connector trail, but we want to hear from everyone in Red Bank regarding what they want to see next.” — Red Bank Mayor Hollie Berry

You can share your thoughts now through Monday, Jan. 15. Pro tip: You can switch between English and Spanish by using the tab in the upper right corner.
