One of the most lovable things about Chattanooga is the distinct character found in each neighborhood, district, and corner of town. They all have their own personalities and purposes — some would say it was written in the stars. Let’s take a look at how our neighborhoods align with the zodiac signs.

Aquarius: North Chattanooga | Jan. 20-Feb. 18

The unique businesses of this quaint neighborhood embody the eclectic nature of an Aquarius. Try out the drinks at The Rosecomb while reading a book from The Book & Cover, or even walk over to the Queen’s Kitchen and Market to pick up supplies for dinner.

Pisces: Bluff View Art District | Feb. 19-March 20

Where else would we find this creative, artsy water sign other than the neighborhood with an art museum + gardens that provide a quiet place to sit? The historic Bluff View Arts District provides the perfect escapist moment for a Pisces to relax.

Aries: St. Elmo | March 21-April 19

Known as the passionate and confident leader of the zodiac, an Aries would feel right at home in St. Elmo. Serving as a community since 1885, this historic district offers views from the valley of Lookout Mountain that is just an incline ride away — you can find this sign dining at some trendy spots like Little Coyote or seeing the annual corgi parade.

Taurus: East Ridge | April 20-May 20

As a lover of loyalty, a Taurus would feel right at home in East Ridge. Filled with hidden gems, family-friendly events and fun at Camp Jordan, and several opportunities for community activation, they won’t want to leave.

Gemini: Riverfront | May 21-June 20

The extroverted nature of a Gemini means they tend to get along with all kinds of people — similar to this district which serves as a connecting point, where you can walk along the Tennessee River. Spend an afternoon at the aquarium + look forward to The Bend development that is sure to bring more personality to the area.

Cancer: Fort Wood | June 21-July 22

The sentimental and gentle nature of this sign is the perfect match for “The Historic Heart of Chattanooga.” Nestled in between the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga + the downtown area, Fort Wood once served as a Civil War fortification.

Leo: NorthShore | July 23-Aug. 22

The NorthShore neighborhood is a perfect fit for the welcoming and proud nature that a Leo embodies. This sign makes its presence known — similar to this neighborhood’s popular community assets like its scenic views from the Walnut Street Bridge + Coolidge Park to the local shops that all hold their own personality.

Virgo: Highland Park | Aug. 23-Sept. 22

This earth sign has very practical and grounded qualities, making the Highland Park area a perfect fit. With its convenient proximity connecting it to the rest of the city, this neighborhood brings the chill vibes and meets folks where they’re at — including their porches.

Libra: Signal Mountain | Sept. 23-Oct. 22

Signal Mountain’s active yet small-town vibe is just as balanced as a Libra. With its trendy local restaurant Civil Provisions and Bar, Mayfly Coffee, and Rainbow Lake trails, this quirky yet calm outer part of Chattanooga is fitting for this air sign.

Scorpio: Downtown | Oct. 23-Nov. 21

The aura of Downtown’s picturesque boulevard perfectly encapsulates this water sign. Serving as a hot spot for new events + being home to various businesses like the speakeasy-style Unknown Caller Bar and Memorial Auditorium — this area is bound to suit the mysterious needs of Scorpios.

Sagittarius: Lookout Mountain | Nov. 22-Dec. 21

As an adventure seeker, Sagittarians will be able to make a speedy getaway from Lookout Mountain with the closest access to TN-148. They can tap into their inner explorer by wandering the grounds at Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center or traveling to the trails across the Georgia state line.

Capricorn: Southside | Dec. 22-Jan. 19

With how hardworking Capricorns are, they’ll be pleased to hear there are plenty of spots in Southside to work remotely, network, and take a break — set up shop at Common House or Niedlov’s, take a walk along Market Street, or pop into the many restaurants along West + East Main Street.
