Chattanooga Burger Week is back for another round in the Scenic City — so, get ready for a beefin’ good time.
Starting today, April 15 through Sunday, April 21, folks can enjoy $7 burger deals all around the city at participating restaurants and vote for their favorite. Each restaurant will have one burger as their Burger Week pick ranging from the classics to more gourmet-style — some deals include fries or are burger-only.

Central Avenue (between East 11th and 23rd Streets) will be restriped and reconfigured beginning today, April 15. The process will take place in two phases to reduce four lanes to three, install multimodal lanes with buffered zones in each direction + create on-street parking near Main Street. (The Pulse)

Two Bikes Chattanooga, a local bike shop located at 1810 E. Main St., has opened its doors. The shop offers a community workstation, affordable + recycled bikes, youth workforce developments, and free bicycles for underserved community members. Learn more.

Chattanooga’s Parks and Outdoors Department was ranked as the second highest-performing social media operation in the US by Next Practice Partners. The report highlights park agencies “who recognize the importance of storytelling and engaging digital footprints in enhancing the well-being of communities.”
Traffic
Chattanooga’s Division of Transportation has implemented a new traffic pattern at O’Grady Drive and Boydston Road. Effective immediately, O’Grady Drive has been designated as a through street (with no yield or stop indication at the intersection) + Boydston Road now features a stop sign. (Chattanoogan.com)

TVA — in partnership with EPB + Bicentennial Volunteers, Inc. — has awarded $57,000 in STEM grants to 13 schools within EPB’s service area. The funds will be used to develop science, technology, engineering, and math education projects to “help spark student interest in future careers in STEM-related fields.”

Chattanooga Whiskey will host its Founder’s Celebration on Thursday, April 25 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Folks can enjoy a tasting experience, get presale access to the Founder’s 14th Anniversary blend, and take a behind-the-scenes look at the Riverfront Distillery — while benefiting the Tennessee River Gorge Trust.

Oh hey, there. Editor Haley here. I recently ventured out to Lakeshore Grille for the first time (if you’re looking for dinner with a great view, I highly recommend) and it got me thinking — where else have I not been around Chattanooga?
