If you’re looking to make the most of summer and these sunny days, we’ve got 10 August events happening around the Scenic City for you to bookmark.

Maker Day

Celebrate local creatives and makers by joining the Chattanooga Public Library and River City Co. at the downtown branch on Saturday, Aug. 3 for a day full of free hands-on activities featuring a community art project + stations for cyanotypes, printmaking, zine-making, etc.

Bonus: Those 21+ can mingle at the after-party.

Doggie Pool Pawty

Take your pups out to the Carver Community Center for a day of swimming with the McKamey Animal Center on Saturday, Aug. 10. Tickets start at $20 + are sold by the dog, not the person (so bring the whole family). Session 1 is sold out, but limited tickets remain for Session 2 (11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m.) and Session 3 (1:30-3 p.m.).
