Chester Frost Park debuts waterfront yurts + fishing pier | This lakeside park in nearby Hixson has added a new way for folks to enjoy its campgrounds — four waterfront yurts, offering a glamping experience. Hamilton County Parks & Recreation also debuted the George Franklin Wright Memorial Fishing Pier, dedicated to Soddy-Daisy native George Wright.


New community deal signed for the South Broad stadium | Just when you thought news about South Broad was over — The Bethlehem Center has entered a Community Benefits Agreement with the organizations behind the development, marking the first agreement of its kind for Chattanooga + Hamilton County.


Chattanooga unveils its first-ever city brand | The Kelly Administration recently teamed up with local designers to introduce Chattanooga’s first official city brand. In today’s ever-changing economy, the price of planting roots in the Scenic City is bound to fluctuate. Last year, when we posted our guide on the cost of living in Chattanooga, the median household income was $50,437. Today looks a little different…

The median household income has increased to $57,703 (in 2022 dollars) according to the US Census Bureau. The cost of healthcare is slightly higher compared to the US average. However, the cost of groceries, housing, utilities, and transportation in the city is lower than the national average.
