This neighborhood “cocktail dive” serves up more than drinks — snack on your go-to bar food (with vegetarian options). If you’d like a lighter snack, try out the boiled peanuts or fries.

This is the latest Chattanooga eatery from chef Daniel Lindley of Alleia. The menu is an homage to an American family meal, inspired by Sunday dinners from Lindley’s childhood.

This family business serves breakfast all day with the stars of the show being the housemade bagels and schmear. You can also grab a lunch sandwich like the Brothers BLT made with pimento cheese.

The folks from Old Gilman Grill are opening a spot to get late-night drinks and sweets. The invite-only, soft-opening is on Thursday, Oct. 24 with a projected opening to the public to be announced soon.
City Cafe, 511 Broad St. | American cuisine | Projected opening: Monday, Oct. 28
This downtown spot is making its return really soon. This 24/7 dinner is known for its huge menu + cakes, pies, and cheesecakes.

The City of Chattanooga’s Office of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy will debut its new series with the Chattanooga Public Library on Saturday, Nov. 4. “Culture on 4” will feature conversations with artists, writers, and performers to inspire anyone looking to start or expand a career in arts + entertainment.
Closing
Dynamo General Country Store, located on Cummings Highway, announced in an Instagram post that Tuesday, Dec. 31 will be its final day of current operations as a vintage wares store. Stay tuned for what the next chapter could entail.
Cause
There’s still time to register for the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, Oct. 26 in Coolidge Park. The family-friendly walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. + all funds raised will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
The US Drug Enforcement Agency will host its biannual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 26. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Hamilton County residents can drop off their unwanted medications at one of the 10 area drop-off locations.
Outdoors
The Green Steps + Waterways Citico Creek Clean Up event has been rescheduled to Saturday, Oct. 26. You can sign up to volunteer to help clean up the streambank and floodplain. Supplies will be provided, but you can also bring your own tools.
